WELCOME TO COMMUNITY ACTION TREKS!

Community Action Treks provide unforgettable adventures in Nepal, as well as Bhutan, India and Tibet. We offer bespoke treks to some of the most beautiful places on earth - and what's more - by trekking with us you can be sure that your trip is sustainable, ethical and gives back to the communities in the Nepalese Himalaya.

Community Action Treks was founded by the late mountaineering legend, Doug Scott CBE, and is now under the directorship of Patricia Scott. We also proudly support Community Action Nepal, a charity founded by Doug Scott over three decades ago.

Our treks are flexible enough to accommodate the needs and budgets of both small groups and larger teams of trekkers, including schools, universities, hiking clubs and charity teams.

Our excursions provide fantastic value for money and you can be sure that our fees are going towards paying fair wages for our professional local guides and to supporting the ongoing charity projects at Community Action Nepal.

Trekkers smiling for the camera, with trees and mountains in the background

We had the most amazing trip in November 2022. Community Action Treks made everything so easy and straightforward - from booking the trip, giving us travel advice and collecting us from the airport. We felt like VIP's throughout the holiday.

We visited some of the charity projects too and were greeted by the villagers with such warmth and generosity. It was truly a trip like no other, and we're so happy that some of the money we paid went to supporting these amazing communities.
